“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
Every generation's challenges are different than the ones before. Through the lens of history, it's clear that the struggles and upheavals in American society in the 1950s and 60s were some of our nation's greatest.
Today, we honor one of the world's most important leaders and visionaries, Martin Luther King Jr. How we live today is directly influenced by his accomplishments. Embracing that true American spirit- if you don't like something, change it, now matter how hard, he fought for equality and individuality and ultimately gave his life for the cause.
So we say, Happy Birthday Dr King.
